I've taken some stills with my P4P that I'll be using at a public hearing of a planning board. Is it possible (and how) to print photos with flight information on the photo? Altitude (AGL) is one parameter I'd like to show and GPS info would also be helpful but not critical. If this isn't...
I've been flying DJI products since the Phantom 2. Back then doing firmware updates was a nightmare. I moved on to Phantom 3's and having learned my lessons I did one and maybe two updates. Neither was easy or straightforward. I've been flying my Phantom 4P's for close to a year and I'm...
This has been a great thread that's been really helpful. It's been a couple of months (almost) since there have been any additions or updates so I'm just wondering if anyone else has experiences with any of these programs or apps or if you use and have comments on any of the ones already noted...
I was just reading a comparison review of the various DJI products in an article in Fstoppers. The section on the P4P says
"Additional features: Dual controller/dual operator. 360-degree obstacle avoidance sensors on the Pro version but only forward and downward detection for the Advanced."...
About 20 years ago I did some flying in New Mexico and Colorado (single engine, fixed). What a dramatic difference from the nearly sea level airports I was used to in NY. There were two issues, altitude at take off and temperature at takeoff...all in relationship to density altitude. It took...
Couple of thoughts. Seems there should be a P4P pilot around RPI but no clue how you'd find them. Another route would be to get onto the FAA site of those holding commercial registrations for the P4P in the Rochester area...you may have to do the search manually, don't recall if you can do it...
I manage a 130 acre fenced in property and we have a crew that patrols the perimeter 5 days a week to see if the deer have punched through or found a spot where a tree or limb has taken the fence down. The deer are smarter than my grounds crew though and in spite the fact that deer are...
I have both. If you're traveling the Mavic is the one to take but there are trade offs. The field of view on the Mavic is smaller, but for most shooting this really isn't an issue. The Mavic is much more subject to wind and drift in wind. That can be a hassle as it's 'desire' to correct for...
Ah, that's the one I remember seeing before. It would be perfect if it had some added storage capacity but looks like it was an idea that maybe didn't fly?
I did see something exactly like what you're looking for. It was a hard case that the DJI rigid foam case just slipped in to. I didn't save the link though because it didn't have the extra room I'm looking for buy it does exist.

I know about all the hard and heavy cases that weigh 12 to 16 pounds, float on water, are crush proof and will fly in the cargo area of commercial airlines. Been there and done that with my P2's and P3's but looking for a better way to go with my P4P's. Does anyone know of a case that will...
I recall some work that was done on the P3P to determine the reduction in battery life based on increased payload. Not exactly what you're looking for but maybe some extrapolation there. You might be able to search that board. There may also be some demos on Youtube.
