I've got one of the 3 sided ones. It helped but it's only a partial fix. By all means, but a hood, but you also need to put an anti-glare screen protector on whatever device you're using, and the biggest thing...always wear a black shirt.
The Phantom 4's...at least some of them, including mine, have glitchy gimbals/cameras on them. I've tried every single thing thats ever been suggested on this forum to try and straighten it out, including calibrating numerous times on a plastic table out in the yard, that was leveled using 2...
Just a tip. I have an 1800 watt modified sine wave (cheapest and most common) power inverter mounted in my truck. All of my tools, and my laptop charger work fine with it, but my factory dji charger didn't like it. I bought a pure sine wave inverter, and it works perfectly.
Same here. Works like a champ. I went into one of our local electronics stores and tried a cheap 10" tablet they had on sale for $99 CDN. I brought the quadcopter right into the store and tested it right there with the staff present (didn't fly...just loaded the app and linked everything up)...
There's no real difference between flying a light aircraft and a quadcopter. If conditions are beyond maximums, stay on the ground. I can't count the number of times I've read "it wouldn't come down...it just kept climbing". These things will only crank themselves over so far to try and maintain...
Buddy...if you take a Phantom 3 in there and spin it up, you've got bigger stones than I do. There's no way on God's green earth I'd fly down there. Just a thought. It's not like it's a 100 ft high, and the gimbal still does it's thing without the motors running. How about just putting it on...
Rave warning !!!! (no..not rant for once :) )
Wow !!!! Just WOW !!!! These are NOT the RC toys I grew up with. My son and I took our new P3A out to my buddy's place out on the rolling prairie/foot hills today (the sticks). I had the P3S before and had to return it....deaf as a post...would lose...
Well....before I answer that, there's a little more information I should give. I'm a ham radio and electronics guy from way back, and I deal with a fair chunk of electrical/electronic systems in my job. I think it would be safe to say that I have a better understanding for how radio works than...
I just wanted to update everyone. After updating my phone to a Galaxy Note 5, and going to one of the remotest locations I know (closest inhabited building is a mile away, zero wifi signals anywhere, and almost no cell reception...... I ran through a variety of tests. I ran through 5 batteries...
Ok. I've been doing a little experimenting since my last update. After taking this thing 25km out of town to the middle of nowhere, flying it to 400ft altitude (the altitude DJI makes their distance claims at)....making sure the antenna was at 90 degrees to the bird....making sure there were...
Thanks for the replies guys. I took your advice dirkclod and turned the video down to 720p. That got rid of 99% of the chop/jerking. I think I'm in the same boat as you, and my laptop just doesn't have enough jam to process detail that high.
GoofyBird. It's a Samsung Galaxy S3. I know it's...
I'm a complete newbie to the quadcopter scene, so please bear with me.
I bought a DJI P3 Standard so my son an I could spend a little time together. We put it together tonight and took it for it's first flight. The flight part went great, except the thing would lost the video link between the...
