Vision 2 + poor video distance

Vision +. Go pro Via litchi app ..I don't seem to be able to travel very far before l lose video feed . Prob about 50 metres .i have two 2.4/5.8 8db omi directional ant I've been thinking of fitting these to the wifi unit ..has anybody covered this mod thanks

I moved mine using the omni directional and improved my range by tripling the distance. You need to go to at lest 5 dbi antenna gain or better. 8dbi is really good and not to squarely big. As you can see I used extenders an place my antenna in the sides of my sun screen to get the higher. Works really well. The 5.8 ghz antenna on the left and the 2.4 ghz for the wifi on the right.

How hard is it to do this antenna upgrade. Where to find components and assemblng??? Is there a video?
