I used Plast-Aid on My p3p Motor mounts before I ever flew it, did all 4 motor mounts... View attachment 49267 Rock Solid.
I really wouldn't know as This is the only way I have ever flown it. The weight is very minimal, maybe adds as much weight as a gimbal guard.. not much at all.Gutsy, but has the extra weight made any difference to its performance?

I doubt you'll break the shell clips.. the clips are minimal but under force when latched. you'll need to squeeze the bottom shell a lot to depress the clips.. Its not fun, but there is really no risk... just have a few pieces of cardboard or better yet something similar to a old credit card to hold open the shell as you move along.so while i wait for my plast aid and syringes to arrive. I unscrewed the motor to see if i could lift it.. NOPE. there is no extra wire i think so it barely lifts 2 mm.
what are chances that the shell clips can break while opening it up. I've seen numerous youtube vids and seems like it should easily doable without any damage?
Hi again,
so today i recevied my plast aid kit. for now im trying to do some small experiment with the mixture on other stuff before i use it on the P3.
I tried to make a small circular puck sort of thing just to see how long it takes to set, harden and dry off etc...seems like i used very little powder as its been 20 min my mix is still very liquid and the gooey part is very little...
question are
1- should i be using a lot of power?
2- is there any harm in having more power in the mix or at the end it will all harden up anyways,..
3- should i expect to use half or the whole power to reinforce the 4 arms on the p3?
4- how much power you think i need to create a mix for one arm..
P.S this stuff does stink
