Brand new Phantom 2 (not a Vision). Removed and fully charged the battery. Re-inserted battery and attempted to turn Phantom on. Lights came on on the battery but nothing else happened. After a few seconds, round red light on battery started blinking. A few seconds later all lights on battery extinguished. Made a few attempts to start copter up with no luck.

Ideas?

I want to get this bird flying!

If you've definitely done the switch on procedure properly (press once briefly, wait about a second then press and hold) then it could be a bad battery/bad cell. There are going to be a percentage of out of box failures. Without it being able to be turned on you can't connect to the Assistant software and have a look at the battery details in there. It might need to be swapped out under warranty by your dealer...
