Tilt on H3-3d ceased to operate

I have lost the tilt function to the gimbal, from the remote
Phantom 2
ALV8R
Mini iOSD
Zen muse H3-3D
Software and firmware is current
Battery(s) are charged

The only issue prior was the 8pin cable from the copter to the gimbal possibly had a short, the cable was unplugged from both ends and reattached, that's when problem started.

sounds like the possibility it's some sort of cable issue is real, but quickly: have you tried doing X1 calibration in the Phantom Assistant software I think it's on the Basic / RC tab.
Try that once or twice... moving the X1 lever should move the little black arrow up and down that little line in the software. let us know if that's working
