I have installed a Taranis x8r and using a x9d transmitter. I mounted the antennas parallel to the ground at 90 degrees from each other. I have taken the x8r out of another Phantom and placed into a new Phantom 2. The 1st Phantom worked great in terms of range. Now it sucks. Could I have damaged the antenna leads to make such a drastic reduction on range?
I did a range check and at 25 meters, I go RF signal low and around 35 meters, I got RF signal critical.
Whats' the best way to diagnose the range issues? Both times I flew it yesterday, was in a very rural area with fewer than 5 houses per mile. So interference should have been non existent.
Can one buy replacement antenna leads for the x8r or do you have to buy the whole unit?
Thanks
