I know most of us shoot video on our P2's using the GoPro, But I also shoot a lot of stills and thought it would be good to see what everyone is shooting in their respective local areas.
This one was taken today and is local to me in Southampton UK.

Thanks Mate,
not got my gimbal yet so the gopro is velcro'd which picks up some vibration so the shots are not mega sharp but not bad all the same. I went out to get some more this afternoon but left my SD card in the computer.....DOH!!!

Does a framegrab from my video editor count?

Where?

It's the river Test in Southampton, UK

I haven't taken many stills with the go pro from the p2 yet, but I'll pull frames out of the video on occasion..definitely not as sharp as 12mp still.

What settings are you guys that are taking true photos using on the GoPro to grab the stills?

I've got a Phantom 2 with DJI's Fixed Camera Mount and a GoPro Hero3+ Silver Edition and have only taken two videos so far, but overall I am very impressed. Curious about taking photos, though.

Thanks!

....and what service do you use to host/post them? I just used public dropbox and the img tags here and it seems to crop the image when viewed on PC, but not on my phone...

Some nice shots here! Keep 'em coming...

Edit:
I use 1080p 60fps for vids....haven't really used the GP still stuff...

I personally use SmugMug (www.smugmug.com). You have to pay for it, but I've been a customer for going on five years now and I love their service/site.

Just my $.02.

Easiest way is to put the gopro into timelapse mode and when it lands go through them and see what you've got. As far as stills are concerned there's not a lot you can change apart from the bitrate which should be on 12mp.
After I get mine down I sort colour correction in Lightroom.

Great shots. You guys are really spoilt over there for scenery.

Took this yesterday evening in Downtown Fort Lauderdale.
