Rotating on an axis point

My old Phantom 1 would rotate on its own axis without drifting into a circular path like my Vision +. Does anyone know if there is a way to do anything that might "tighten" the circle? It is no big deal at an upper altitude, but when it gets low it becomes aggravating. Thanks in advance, Bill

Hi Bill,

I've noticed some toilet bowl effect with Assistant firmware 3.0. You should do a compass calibration to see if it tightens the yaw. Otherwise, I'd try a different firmware version. 1.08 feels the best for me.

I'd look on my computer, but kid doing homework!

As I recall the camera firmware update is in 2.0 Assistant.

Make sure your V+ is absolutely level when doing an IMU calibration. Doing a calibration when the V+ is not level can cause this problem.

Thank you. Do you know if something like a metal desk would interfere with the advanced IMU calibration or is this independent of the compass? If the compass is involved in the IMU calibration, I would have to relocate my computer but my Phantom 1 was calibrated in the same place and it flew perfect yaw turns.
