I just purchased a phantom 3 standard refurbished from ebay.it flys fine but I cant get the wifi to work with my phone.ive downloaded the app,and I can find the wifi signal on the phone and can connect to it but there is only a black screen im looking at.also when I turn the controller on it beeps until I move the left stick.ive noticed on some youtube videos ive watched this shouldn't be happening.what should I be doing differently.thanks

What kind of phone? Do you see any of the other data from the app such as telemetry, battery levels, compass? If so, and all you're missing is video, you can check your camera settings. Be sure you're in AUTO. You can also check to be sure your ribbon cable is secure.

As to the beeping sound from the controller, can you describe the beeps? Is the battery in the controller fully charged?

my phone is a moto g4.i can see all the telemetry but at the top of the screen it says disconnected.battery on controller is fully charged,as soon as you turn the switch on the controller continues to beep and the red light will flash until you move the left stick, then the beep stops and light turns green.thank you for the response.

Though I've never experienced the beeping, the green light on the controller confirms the RC and the AC are linked. And as you stated, its flying. The only time my controller beeps is during a Return to Home event or the battery on the AC is low.

I have a Moto G6. I don't use it to fly, but I'll test it with my P3S and see if it can handle it. In the meantime, you might want to try re-calibrating the sticks on the RC.

If you know someone with a different phone or tablet, see if you can borrow it to test it out.

Does the left stick hold in the fully down position? If not , then the previous owner may have removed the mechanical locking tab and you are powering up with the left stick fully down. As soon as it moves from this position the beeping will stop.

@gary comer,
Welcome to the Forum!

The Remote problem?
It may need to be calibrated.

Gary, I downloaded the app on to my Moto G6. Couldn't get past the "How To Connect" screen. Uninstalled and re-installed the app. Initially saw what I think you are seeing. Video was blank though I could see where my telemetry would go. Camera menu grayed out. I did notice the red "Not Connected" banner, so I shut down the AC and the RC and started over. Power up AC, then AC. Started the app and this time the camera button was blue. It was good to go.

It's been so hot here it's been a month since flying. The brief flight above my house in the cool evening air was short-lived but fun.

I doubt your G4 is the problem. Try a reinstall of the app.

Not a bad idea. Sorry this happened to you. I just love my P3S. I hope you get a replacement.

Not on a P3S,
If the Remote is working correctly it is putting out a WiFi signal, your mobile device should be able to connect to it without an app, or the Phantom.

On you first post,
".i can see all the telemetry but at the top of the screen it says disconnected"
Did you have any values in the Telemetry?
