P2 non-vision FPV with Black Pearl

Why does the black pearl screen go black when I put my GoPro Hero 3+ camera on burst photos and press red record button on top? Does the FPV not work when the GoPro is in another mode other than video?

i've never used burst mode, but know the screen goes black when its taking a picture on time lapse mode as well. I think its just what the camera does when its taking a picture

what firmware gopro 3+?
are you using hero port or side usb?

no, mine doens't go black then either. Its only when in photo specific modes (ie timelapse) that it goes black when a pic is being taken
