I've only had this new model P2 with the "smart battery" for about a month. i am already noticed scratches on the plastic from pulling the battery out of the P2 body. My battery is very snug and is a real pain in the *** to get out of the copter. i have to pull very hard to get it out and in doing so it is scratching the battery. only the white plastic housing. no damage to actual battery unit. i noticed white shavings on plastic like dust on the battery and sure enough it grinding wear and tear.

how many others are noticing the battery is a ßitch to get out!

They are kinda tight but wear is not excessive on my 3 month old ones

get yourself a small can of silicone lubricant and spray a little on a cotton-bud. wipe that on the inside of the battery compartment where the two rubber strips are. then just a tiny swipe on the battery part which runs along those rubber strip. You'll find it makes inserting & removing the battery much easier.

worked for me,

hope this helps
