As a software developer myself, this seems like the kind of thing I'd love. But, somehow, I'm not so interested. Probably because I enjoy controlling the quad itself and I don't have a use for automated flight as I do this for a hobby, but it seems useful for companies perhaps for automated pipeline inspections, etc.

Or maybe because I don't trust myself to write code that won't send the quad into a spiral of death. I also hope for everyone's sake there is a good debugging suite.
