Noob with a new rig...

Hey all, I just got my Phantom 2 today and would like some advice from some seasoned pros. The rig that I ordered is this one: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1 ... rnkey.html

I am still waiting on the display and the goPro to show up so I am really not ready to fly at the moment but I thought I would reach out and see if anyone had any tips, tricks, warnings or suggestions for me to consider.

I appreciate any help.

1. Read the Manual

3. Look at the many videos about how to fly the Phantom, how to fly responsibly
4. Go back and do 1-3 again
5. Prepare mentally for a crash, because you will.
6. Prepare your Phantom for a crash by putting your name and contact information on your Phantom, and get a tracker for the possibility you will have a flyaway.
7. Start flying conservatively and carefully. Learn HOW to fly before trying to see how high and far and fast the Phantom will fly.
8. Go back and do 1-3 again.

Tip added in Edit: DON'T DO ANYTHING DUMB. Ignoring 1-8 above is dumb.
