I've been using Dataway's ND filter but I see that Polar Pro just release their new filter set: http://polarprofilters.com/shop/Phantom3Filter & Taco RC just released theirs. Which one is better for the price?
I have noticed that people are happy with their SRP filters and they are like twice the weight of the Polar Pros. Do all of them use counterweights? The polar pro have a more polished look, although they are adding weight to the camera and I am assuming they will need some sort of counter balance.

I got my TACO ND's the other day and had a small weather window to test them out - through one battery. I was in such a rush to beat storms that I forgot to slide in my SD card.
But the on-screen display (I have retina quality) showed much promise with what I assume was the ND8. I dont like that they are not labelled and
I used the first release of the PolarPro filters, and was very disappointed that I could not thread them up.
I also tried the PhantomFilters 4 pack .... and while I was drawn by the nearly zero weight, handling proved to be far too cumbersome.
But the quality of the PolarPro products is by far best of the lot in my view. And the new lighter-weight models, if they in fact add only 1.2 grams, will undoubtedly be where I will finally settle.
I am interested in hearing about the new PolarPro filter threading ...

With PhantomFilters you get what you pay for. I dented one of the filters by simply trying to put in the lens. I don't have a plan to use them anymore now that I have the tacos.
I loved the filters you sent me at first. Quickest shipping of anyone and best pricing. Tough to clean, I felt like I should be wearing gloves each time I handled one. Also, each one has a sort of "divot" in the center - almost like they were held in place in the center while being cut. It's not noticeable in video or photos though. I found trying to take them out of the UV filter housing was a pain. I carried tweezers in my backpack but still had to fight for a minute to get them out without either bending or scratching them or the UV filter. If you have an issue with one of my filters I'll be happy to replace it. Also remember, the PhantomFilters can fit inside other filters if you need a stronger effect. Also, I suggest trying the POL-filter
