No need for new shell - get a disk of aluminium the diameter of the motor housing mount (underneath) and mark and drill the location screw positions.
Super glue the bits back into place. this will place the motor at the same height it came from and either refit the same screws or if required fit some slightly longer ones. Just ensure that they are not too long and damage the motor coils.
Prop out of balance is different as that would induce vibration related to prop speed.
All that would do is add a few grams to one side, the quad would compensate in GPS mode for it.
Could always make two and add the second to the opposing motor mount.
Make four and do them all would add about 15 grams dependant upon material and thickness. 2mm plate should be fine.
