Lubrication

There isn't a electric or combustion motor in existence that doesn't require lubrication of bearings and friction surfaces...it's basic physics[emoji432]

My dad is making a tool for me to press out the shaft off of a 2312a. Then we have to figure out to pull/push the bearings out.

No one is saying the bearings don't need lubricant , just why lubricate a bearing if its sealed , with some kind of lubricant , probably Grease or some sort . You could wash out the other Lubricant by doing so over time .

Just because it has shield , doesn't mean its not sealed , even on only one side , there may be a side thats open , but the bearing is pressed up to a flange to act as a shield or seal . Plenty of bearings out there with metal shields that are sealed & need no lubrication or service , for the life of the Bearing .There are many ways to tell if a Bearing is bad or worn out , in some way . One is noise , another is over heating or another is vibration .

$ 20. US for a new replacement motor , why bother .
