Smart sharpen is actually a photoshop dialog just like unsharp mask but it gives you more control over noise reduction at the same time. One other thing is that I do a lot of localized noise correction in the shadow areas.

This image is a good example of needing localized noise correction in the dark areas of the storm cloud. I could pull out detail but I also pulled out a lot of noise.

I like your photos!

Du you use Lens correction in your photos?

I am trying to make photos from nature, but i i'm not satisfied with my result.
The green color on my pictures seems a kind of grey :p
Your pics looks like it has been cut out of a fairy tale!

Nice pictures.
Try to remove the fish eye distortion.

Geert./.

I will - This was just a quick post.
I am at the office right now and haven't had the chance to do any kind of post production.
However I don't think it will help this much since the camera was at an awkward angle in the first shot.
I noticed that the distortion is minimal whenever the cam is pointed straight down (no horizon in sight)
or pointed straight forward with the horizon in the middle of the picture.

Great work jimantsu60, clean result. Did you corrected it all in Photoshop ?

happy flying

Thanks, Yes Photoshop (PS4) using the built in lens correction, then some Nik Software Color Effects Pro plugins (tonal contrast) then some denoise to clean up the photo. The horizon is a bit wavy but I only spent a couple of minutes using the photo I dragged off the screen.

I tried using the groucho marx filter to remove distortion but never could get it to work ;)
