Hi guys,

I am looking at getting the ipad5 9.7 for my p4. I am currently using iphone7plus. Does anyone have experience using the ipad5, will it be worth it? And if so, do i need wifi+cellular or can i only get the wifi pad?

Thanks in advance

Are you referring to the Ipad Pro?

If yes, it is the best match with a P4 etc., in my opinion.

Use it with P4, Mavic and Inspire 2

No, not the Pro, but the current iPad, often referred to as 'iPad 5 ' because Apple are hopeless at naming their products :)

It will be worth it if you want a larger screen and yes it will run the Go 4 app perfectly well.

The WiFi only version is fine as long as you are happy not having GPS hardware in the device. The only thing you need that for is 'Follow Me' mode and the option to reset the home point to the spot you are currently standing on.

Hi, no. Im referring to the normal ipad. Not the pro or air.
You might consider the Air2 instead of the latest 5th gen if you can find one. The anti glare properties of the screen are better. It still has more than enough grunt, in fact it has a 3 core SOC that makes it faster in some tasks.

Thanks. And according to my research, i wouldnt need an extension for the rc. Just want to confirm?

HI there
I purshased the Ipad 2017 to work with the p4 and all i can say is, amazing.
The A9 chip is a beast, it is a perfect fit in the tablet holder on the remote,
zero lag, zero crashes, the djigo app works flawlessly, battery life is great,
the higher screen brightness compensates the lack of anti glare.
i recommend it.
I had a p3 standard with a samsung galaxy tab E 9,6" and worked great,
but when i upgraded to the p4, the android suffered from random crashes,
disconnects, bugs, lag, black screen, freeze, etc.
So i went for the ipad 2017 and it rules for this purpose. I am not an Apple
fanboy, nor do i have any other apple product. This just works, it´s good value.

The IPad Pro 2017 has the A10X SOC. it is ridiculously quick. The Air2 is no slouch though, more than enough performance to run the latest GO App with ease.

Hi there

Agreed, all great machines. However, not in the same price range, you´ll have to agree.
Not everyone will spend the price of a small car on an IPAD Pro :) (kidding).

Just my oppinion: price/specs ratio on an ipad = ipad 2017.

Cherrs
