I bricked my p3s with ftp range mod - let's fix it together

OK, so it sounds like FTP is not an issue. Must be the editing process... Just use text editor, not wordpad...
I used nano on Mac OS El Capitan through terminal and still got the same outcome, I believe it's a mixture of many things

I also used Nano but on Ubuntu linux. Works just fine. I did it about few dozen of times since I discovered the hole. Never failed.
Interesting. Would you mind confirming that it's definetely Nano and not the FTP client ?
I can't duplicate this problem. Never had a single ^M.

Ok, input the comands and i connect to rc with filezilla and.... my rcs its original!! Without changes... why?? And now what to do? Soldering to de gimbal and same, only input comands and my rcs revert to original same in the rc? Thanks and sorry
I had the same issues a lot of corrupted characters, I found it was UART I , I found 3rd UART fixed the issues

Dude, stop taking credit for other peoples' work. You need to link to the thread in the description of your video at the very least, and thank those who discovered the fix in the first place!

Try editing only djiled.sh and making the changes via telnet. Seems to be working for most people on here.

Try forcing a downgrade (it will fail) and then doing this again. There are instructions on how to downgrade on this forum somewhere

Had sent my bricked copter and remote to DJI Germany and after 4 Weeks they sent me an all new setup back!!
I tried to change the bios of my 8 month old Phantom 3 Standard (ca.400 flights) from EU to US, to fix this range problem and you know the rest of the story.. NO WIFI and **** ^^
Now I got a brand new Copter (US), Remote (US), Propeller Set in a bag, Charger (US), Tool Set etc. FREE OF CHARGE!!!!
I can´t believe that but thats the truth. :D

Welcome to the forum! I'm glad someone's had a good experience with DJI's support department - they were next to useless when I wanted support.
