LOS can get tricky at times.
In the pic below, my Phantom is about 100m (300 ft) away from me.
How close is it to the trees?
Often, when I look at my Phantom from such a distance, it's hard to tell how close it is to an obstacle. Then I look on my phone monitor and find it's much closer or much further than I think. Trees, sports ground light towers, wire fences and cages, goal posts, boundary fences, etc.
Then yesterday, I flew into this. Blinded by the sunset, I had no idea how far or close it was. I had to switch S2 to homelock mode to bring it back.
