Hello everyone, Ryan from Canada here.
I don't actually have a Phantom yet but I've been eyeing getting one within the next week before the sales are finished. So I signed up to these forums!
I was going to post these questions in the P3 forums but it spans all of them and not really into the P3A/P3P or P3S/4K so I will ask in my intro incase anyone can answer them.
I am trying to decide which to go with. Right now the P3S is on sale for 499$ and there is a package for the P3 Pro that is 1399$ with an extra battery, a backpack and 64GB sd card.
I was leaning heavily to the P3 Pro because of the GLONASS and Litebridge and better controller (among other things) But it's nearly a 900$ difference over the P3S. Then I read about all the flyaways and the chances of me crashing it when using any of them.
If I were to crash the standard at least it wouldn't be as costly of a loss, or if it flew away. But does having the profressional with the extra satellites reduce the chances of a flyaway?
Anyway, my uses for these would be mostly for some aerial shots to split into vlogs and other videos. But after reading all the regs and no fly zones and people who deliberately try to knock your drone out of the sky or just flat out harass pilots. I'm not so sure about any of them anymore!
Cheers.
