Would really like to tone down that bright white on the transmitter, use something darker. Anyone done this? Talking about the body only, of course, not antenna or controls. Would painting the body interfere with the signal in any way, or as long as the antenna remains as is, I'd be good to go?

If you want to take it to the extreme, you could do something like these (not a Phantom controller ofc, but you get the idea):

There's a lot of places that can dip your controller shell like that, those are all from http://lonestarhg.com/index.html
