H3-3D Handheld Mod?

Is it at all possible to modify the H3-3D and attach it a handheld housing so it would work similar to the DJI Ronin? I recently damaged my H3-3D from a crash and was considering sending it in to be repaired if I could somehow make a handheld stabilizer out of it.

There are handheld stabilizers out there for a couple hundred bucks. No need to pay to fix the gimbal just use your gopro.
