i am looking for a dorne or App that will let me take a waypoint while flying. i.e. stream crossing or funny colored rock that I can then program into my hand held GPS and navigate by foot to that location. Any help would be appreciated.
Yes, Phantom images (jpg and dng) have GPS info embedded. You can view/copy the coordinates to Google/Apple maps. I use GraphicConverter (OS X) to view/copy/edit image location data.
I guess videos don't have that kind of standardized embedded location data (iOS devices record location to videos though).
