Go App not connecting on Nexus 7 2nd Gen

I have a Nexus 7 (2013) that works fine with Go App 4 and my Phantom 4 Pro.

I bought a few Phantom 3 Professionals that were broken, and I'm combining the parts to make one good one. Combining the parts is going fine. But I can't get the Go App (the old one) to work! When I turn it on I get a screen telling me how to connect. The equipment button doesn't do anything. It does not seem to recognize that I've connected it to the remote controller by usb cable.

I know that at least one of the P3Ps is working, and get a green light on the remote controller. I removed the Go App 4, reinstalled the old Go App, and rebooted the tablet. Nada.

Anyone have any ideas? I also have a Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 8. It did not work well with Go App 4. I'm charging it to see if I can run the old Go App.

Update: Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 8 did connect. It is too slow to keep up with video feed when flying. I'm not very happy that I have to buy another tablet simply to run old software. The Nexus 7 (2nd Gen) works well with Go App 4, but apparently it won't run Go App for equipment prior to 4.
