Hello Everyone, As many posters here, I'm fairly new to the world of quadcopters/drones/uav's. I recently purchased a Phantom 2 (non-vision) with the v2 controller. My question has to do with some specifics with regards to an FPV setup. This is the gear I have purchased so far: FlySight 7 Channel F-Band Black Pearl 5.8Ghz 7" Diversity Monitor with Integrated Battery (RC801) Immersion RC 600mw 5.8 GHz A/V Transmitter DJI iOSD Mini Zenmuse H4-3D Gimbal for Phantom 2 (For my GoPro Hero4 Black) And the plug and play cable. I still need to buy a monitor mount and potentially some antennas. With regards to mounts, I've seen several options floating around and were curious about what your suggestions were. I see some are metal, some are carbon fiber, and some are 3D printed plastic. Here are some of the ones I've found so far, any comments would be appreciated: FPV Monitor Mount by fusionimaging - $21.99 FPV Monitor Mount for DJI Phantom by fusionimaging on Shapeways FPV Monitor Mount (Adjustable) by fusionimaging - $22.99 FPV Monitor Mount for DJI Phantom 'Adjustable' by fusionimaging on Shapeways Deluxe DJI Phantom LCD Monitor Mount by Evolution3D - $34.95 Deluxe DJI Phantom FPV LCD Monitor Mount - Evolution3D DJI Monitor Mount by Rave Aerial Video - $30.60 (£20.00) http://www.raveaerialvideo.com/product/dji-monitor-mount/ Carbon Fiber LCD Screen Holder for Transmitter by GotHeliRC for - $22.99 Carbon fiber LCD screen holder for Transmitter - FPV Accessories - Got Heli RC LLC Black Pearl Monitor Mount by Dronefly - $20.00 Black Pearl Monitor Mount – Dronefly As far as antennas go, I am assuming that they boost the signal range of the FPV video system, but do they also boost the range of the remote controller (for the quadcopter)? I was looking at the Premium Combo of 5.8GHz antennas from FPVLR (5.8GHz Premium Combo) and wanted to see if this would be the best option for my setup, and is there anything else that I'm missing?
