I am flying with Ryanair (not by choice) and their hand luggage sizes are too small for me to take my drone on board unless I do in a small flimsy bag / carrier bag. I’m checking in a hard shell suitcase inside of which will be my hard shell bag pack for drone. Should it be relatively safe in the hold or should I use carrier bag and take drone on board leaving rest of equipment (minus batteries of course) in the hold? I know this won’t protect against hold luggage getting lost but that’s always a risk.

Even hand luggage is sometimes taken off you, and put in the hold ,as you board with Ryanair. Not an answer, but I only take my mavic pro when traveling.
North, or Ireland, different rules in Ireland for drones.

North and Ryanair have said I can take on board as long as it’s within sizing regs
