I was flying Saturday and got too close to a power plant. Message popped up on iPad saying I was in restricted space - power plant and then I lost control. Shouldn't the phantom have initiated RTH. Instead the craft tried to land and altitude rapidly dropped from 200 ft to 80 ft when I flipped the switch to ATTI mode. I was able to recover the phantom later after using the DJI Go to track the location. I was in sport mode when I lost connection to craft. I will not be flying anywhere near the power plant again but would like to understand why what happened happened. Thanks for any constructive comments.

Seems that the latest versions of GO automatically lands the bird if you enter a NFZ! there has been a lot of discussion and complaining about this on threads here. Has, apparently caused some near misses and damaged birds.Doest seem to give any advanced warning, just drops you once you enter the space! Here is one example thread Got to 100 feet, suddenly NFZ autoland?
