The "+" indication has been discussed many times, but never explained to my personal satisfaction. Some think it has to do with a battery's FW version, others think it has to do with at least one module not being fully updated. I can't say with enough certainty to give a firm answer why sometimes a "+" appears rather than the actual FW version, but I do feel confident enough to say that you very likely do not have 1.5.3 and very likely do have 1.8 or later.
It's possible that your log_ab file can give more clues.
