I have a Phantom 4 Pro that had a recent crash. I had been flying the drone off and on for about a year using my Samsung Tab a(6) tablet without a hitch. Initially, when I received back my repaired drone during a test flight I noticed torn video and weird displayed video, though ALL other functions worked well mechanically. So back to the factory again to fix the issue without knowledge of what they did this time if anything.
When I got it back the second time I had absolutely no camera video transmission, on my Samsung Tab and as before, everything else worked as it should. So trying to isolate the problem, this time I coupled the drone with my new Samsung S8. Wha-La, now I get video. So my issue is I prefer the video on the tablet due to sizing and an outdoor brightness option. The drone has the latest updates as it did before the repair, and the tablet has no firmware update options that I could find. The tablet is a 2016 model per the specs.
Now here is a good one: While the drone was airborne I tried to take pictures and video although not seeing anything displayed on my tablet. It worked and the results were crisp and clear as they should. So obviously this looks like a tablet issue but it worked before the drone repair and the tablet has never had any type of issues prior or currently.
