A colleague of mine told me that there is a product to dip plastics any colour you want and get a perfect coat every time. Has anyone used this on their props or shell? Could be tempted to dip my props if anyone has done it

Might not be the answer you're looking for but, dye does a great job.

What do you use for the dye?

RIT is the brand I used. There's powder and liquid. Here's a pic.

On the props it does... if you want to do the TX & shell like I did those parts require "poly dye". Again sold next to the regular clothing dye in craft shops and walmarts. Regular dye is fine indoors, poly dye is not, only use it outside. Do a search here and you will find a plethora of threads on this topic.

Phantom 2 Zen TX dyed blue. :)

Is the " poly dye" the synthetic stuff, also sold by RIT?
