Delay after pressing record?

Noticing there is a delay or issue with the record button on the transmitter. Sometimes you can press the record button and the recording starts within a second, other times there may be a 5 second pause before the recording starts. Additionally, I've noticed that pressing record doesn't start at all.

Is this a setting in the app or something I'm missing? Taking stills is perfect every time using the button.
