Today I tried to update the FW of my P3A to V01.09
I formatted by SD card (32 Mb) and put on the new package, P3S_FW_V01.09.0060.

I noticed that it took a long time during which the red light frequently turned on and I heard several different beeps. After 36 min the P3 made a continuous beep. I waited for a minute or 2 and then turned it off.

When I turned it on, it made very loud beeps. I turned it off and on again. I seemed it took long before it turned off and also the red light of the battery stayed on longer. This was in the log:
========== 2014.01.01 00:00:12 remo-con disconnect======
Packet: P3S_FW_V01.08.0080.bin
Upgrading ...
Result: Success.

========== 2016.05.21 17:25:34 =====================
Packet: P3S_FW_V01.08.0080.bin
Result: Abort.
The firmware on the SD card is identical to or older than the current firmware on the aircraft.

To be sure I switched batteries (both were full) and turned it on. It made strange warning? beeps.
I turned it off and tried turned it on again. This time the same beeps and also the gimbal moved strangely. See

I left it on and to my surprise the upgrade finished. This was the log:

Firmware bin file is corrupted, download it again from the DJI offical website.

Does anyone have any idea what went wrong? Was there a problem with my SD-card?
Why was was the date in the log from 2014?
The first log file was created today, but modified in 2013 (2013-12-31 23:00)
The second had the correct dates.

I had weird logs too, as well as the loud alarms going off on the P3A.

Re-downloaded the bin, re-formatted the sd card, placed P3A in closet, powered the Phantom back up to start update. Walked away for about 30 minutes and it finally got through the update.

Flew it last night and everything seems to function as it should. I suggest updating all of your batteries once you get the FW to load.

Thanks Tijuna!
Btw is this your homeplace? I was there in '94 when I visited a conference in San Diego.
On topic: I have flew the P3A as well today. No problems. I still wonder what happened yesterday evening.

Hi Rene,

Yeah, I started living out here on the weekends and after 6 months made it home. Been here 6 years now and love it.

My house is right on the beach, so lots of drone opportunities and how I ended up getting into it.
