Sorry to say but I've flown my P3A numerous times with the prop guards and there is not a single crack anywhere.
I've even had quite a crash and even though the camera is out of kilter...no cracks.
I crashed my P2V when I first got it and it was turned over (props down) when I found it with the motors still trying to run even though I thought I had turned them off. The resulting heat caused the motor mounts to melt. The motors should be protected with thermal fuses. I ended up having to replace the shell. It's only sold as upper and lower and I only needed the lower shell so I have a brand new new upper shell if anybody needs one. I put the old upper shell back on because I thought the grass stains added character and reminded me not to fly stupid.
