Carbon fiber reinforced propellers

Regardless of material, DJI, or others with the expertise, could design more efficient props for our birds (and quieter too, if attention was paid to blade tip design). Probably not much financial incentive in it for them though, but I'd pay double for a really good design.

Sort of like the mythical 100 MPG carburetor that Detroit supposedly has kept under wraps all of these years. Remember that the props are part of a system that has been optimized to get the best (not necessarily the most) performance out of the system. Willing bet that DJI did a pretty bang up job on the optimization. Just think, when the Phantoms came out even an increase in flight times up to 30 minutes would have been a major selling point. A lot like the 10 speed bicycle - changing gears doesn't change the amount of work that you have to do to move the bike at speed. it just allows the rider to adjust the power required for a given situation to match the performance of the engine - his legs.
