Can anyone advise what the best settings are for flying over water with a P4? I find that my drone starts spinning after about a minute of hovering over water. I have tried turning off the vision positioning sensors, but it had no effect.
If it's just spinning around and not bobbing up and down, maybe try a controller calibration through the app. I never get closer than 15 mtrs to the water when I fly so I leave the VPS on.
Indeed, that's an odd behavior that I would not attribute to flying over water. We usually fly over water (and land on it) with VPS off. That said, the only thing I've noticed with VPS on is a tendency to follow the waves once the drone is within 1 meter of the surface.
Controller calibration seems like a good suggestion; making sure the signal is really "zero yaw" when the stick has zero input.
