As I understand after calling the flight people today.. we still need a license. We might not have to get an airways clearance before each flight. Im licensed and it will be good not to have to submit a flight plan just to take a few pics. The only thing is I will have to forget about using my Inspire Pro and buy a few phantom 4's.

"Autonomous flight is prohibited under the amendments. CASA is still developing suitable regulations for autonomous flight. However, there is scope for CASA to approve autonomous flight on a case-by-case basis."

Does this mean it will be illegal for me to use litchi waypoints /GS?

It always has been illegal, autonimous flight, but that paragraph kind of hints at a losening of that restriction as well.At least down to seeking approval is better than outright illegal.
