I flew to Charleston, SC with the intent to drive to the center of totality but the weather looked like it was going to be cloudy so I flew early in the morning of the 21st up to Andrews, NC which was directly in the center of totality. I planned to stay at the airport and avoid the traffic. The weather was perfect and I got some great pictures. Unfortunately since I stayed at the airport, I couldn't fly the Copters. That airport had never seen so many airplanes. It was awesome!!!
