I know of an instance where this happened locally with an Inspire. They were filming a parade and flying FPV. They decided to go up and do a flyover. When he ascended, he hit the power lines and it knocked out the power for a couple of blocks and fried the Inspire.

This is what can happen when your drone has conductive carbon fibre arms.
Shorting out powerlines is unlikely to be an issue for a Phantom though.
