It's carbon fiber, so its very light. I have seen no flight time loss.

700 feet isnt terrible. I would try upgrading your antennas first. Keep in mind if you are RP-SMA or SMA.

There are quite a few controller mods out there, just search around. In terms of FPV, you can get sub-$100 antennas that can maximize your range.

You should for sure watch a couple unboxing/setup videos. Then just walk along with them. There are a few good ones on YouTube.
