True, the more technology advances the more reliable drones will be. However, drones will become more simple and easier to operate, resulting in drones entering new markets and being attractive to new audiences (See DJI Spark)

This was a serious crash. I just took out the battery and noticed it is dented. How bad si it? Is this a non-issue and I can safely use it once I get my drone fixed?
