One reason that RC aircraft have not been an issue is that they are typically flown at model airplane fields, not in neighborhoods, over gatherings of people, near fires or airports that attract media attention with resulting bad press about drones.

My HTC 10 with Nougat allows the dji app to open briefly, but then the app stops and won't allow me to double tap to exit. The phone restarts and asks me to send report to HTC. My old LG G2 with no cell service and Lollipop works fine.

Thanks Oso. I clicked the link as suggested. Regarding the firmware, my screen says "latest firmware". Checking the settings, it shows RC as 1.8. I cant seem to find the firmware for the AC. The only numbers I see on my screen are App 3.1.5, Version 1.10.90 and the controller serial number...

Yessir. I swore at my buddy after I bought the Phantom, even though I knew I would like it, and then my wife swore at me for buying it. I'm not telling her what all the associated things cost me, like batteries, carry case, prop balancer, etc. Sometimes you can't win, but it's usually fun trying.

My State Farm agent here in California called his underwriter to check coverage under the personal articles coverage. He told me No coverage at all while flying. The only coverage was if my P3A was in the house and damaged during a fire, etc. or was stolen from inside the house.
