2V+ Fired it up for the first time in 4 years. No video

Crash, Thanks for the reply and for the info on IOS version as well. I am surprised with all the usb connectors and software for the P2V+ that there is no other means of flashing the module. I will contact @okstuv and see about the repair. Thanks again.

2V+ Fired it up for the first time in 4 years. No video

Greetings, PV2+ has been sidelined for 4 years. I have one battery that holds a charge for about 3 minutes. I have full control of propulsion, but no video. I can access and control gimbal but video is blank just shows turning circle on iPad. And "not connected to phantom" on updated iPhone...

Need new batteries and maybe intelligent charger

Folks, Thanks for the replies. My understanding is that these LiPo batteries are pretty temperamental when it comes to not using them. They like to be in a certain condition when left for a period of time. A while back I was reading about some chargers made specifically for LiPo batteries...

Need new batteries and maybe intelligent charger

Haven't been here in a while. I sort of got a bad taste in my mouth a year after purchasing my PV2+ with an extra battery in 2014. As the batteries died within 15 flights, I gave up and put it away for a few years. Too expensive to replace. So it's been a few years. I am thinking of trying my...

batteries - short life after 7 flights, and two years. ???

Thanks for the replies, Just to clarify, the batteries have always been difficult to insert and removed since new. They have not gotten worse over time.

batteries - short life after 7 flights, and two years. ???

Battery questions. My P2V+ is 2 years old. I flew it 12 times the first year and twice the second year. Now, once last week (this year). I have two batteries. They have seen equal use, and equal charging (perhaps too much charging). More on that later. My first flight this year I got up...

FAA Registration Site Is Opening When?

Tried here https://www.registermyuas.faa.gov/ two different computers at two different locations. Timeout error. Pinging the URL returns no IP address (DNS issue maybe?). Cleared cookies, sites, temp files refreshed with clt f5. No dice. Neither of the two highlights on the main page. Are...

    FAA Registration Rules Announced NOW

I haven't flown in a few months and haven't been really following the registration conversation. That said, I was wondering about where the FAA regs would fall out. I kept telling myself, the vast majority of UAV pilots, play by the rules. What is the big deal? I think the whole issue with...

    Questions/observations re currently owned P2V+ vs P3P vs V3

Thanks to both of you for the replies. I am hoping for some more in out from others.. What I really like about the P3P is the sonar/sight guidance, longer range, and a more intuitive gui. Like Kid, I don't really care about the 4k video. What are the major differences from P2V+ and P2V+ V3...

    Questions/observations re currently owned P2V+ vs P3P vs V3

Greetings, Is it just me or do others feel a bit of let down from DJI? I bought my P2V+ with extra battery exactly a year ago. I've flown it maybe 12-15 times thus far. My time is limited so I don't get out often. A year later and DJI comes out with a newer model with so many...

In UK, TGI Fridays using UAV's indoors to get patrons ".....

Just saw this on the evening news. I guess I've got to hone my piloting skills a lot more if I want to get a job at TGI Fridays. Lots of obstacles (and human life) in close proximity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldhEsgcOq9U

ANother guy who's going to ruin it for all of us

DrJoe wrote: I'm in !!! I don't know much about setting up an organization, but I imagine it should have some sort of governing body, and be steered by the membership thereof. If you get enough favorable responses, or perhaps (with some tweaking) others may want to come on board, it would...

ANother guy who's going to ruin it for all of us

Dr. Joe Says: I think Dr. Joe is on to something.... But there are some caveats. I feel if the government gets too involved, and mandates say testing and certification perhaps even annually or periodically), we could be faced with "recurring bureaucratic paperwork and costly fees".
