I've printed off a lens cover/gimbal lock and some motor mount reinforcements so far. Just wondering what others have done and which parts you'd suggest.
My dream is to design out a motor mount reinforcement that doubles as a quick disconnect for easily removeable prop guards.
I looked in the gimbal of my P3A and it doesn't have a fan, but I can't for the life of me figure out what the fan on the P3P is blowing on. It's up against the casing so it isn't blowing into the gimbal, is it blowing up into the drone and if so where is it pulling air from? I guess it could...
I'm guessing another software flag to throw people off. If the Pro camera has upgraded internals to handle 4K video processing, there's no reason why it couldn't handle 2.7K. My guess is in the software when you connect to an advanced quadcopter it shows 2.7K in place of the dimmed out 4K options.
Interesting. So it's the gimbal itself that tells the firmware which version it is. I'll bet there's a setting somewhere in there to change how it identifies. And if that fan is the only hardware difference it can't be that hard to get a line on tiny fans.
Just wondering if we might be able to trick the P3A into thinking it's a P3P and allowing 4K recording? I'm guessing it's probably locked by serial number though.
