I had 470m stock before rth. Fitted a windsurfer and went to the limit at 500m, but since this post I switched the max distance off on the rc thanks to Tony Cowan for the info. Will try another flight now that its switched to unlimited distance.

What is the point in adding a range extender to a P3s, when the max distance is only 500m anyway ? Or can you over ride this setting ?

Does the battery need to be in the phantom body to self discharge, or will it do it when disconnected ?

How does it actually find its way back when the signal is totally lost from the rc ?

Hi there, I was wondering about range testing my P3S but wanted to know, when I fly out can I keep going and going until RTH kicks in. Never had the nerves yet to just keep going lol.
