I have never calibrated on a boat. No issues in over 20+ flights.
We wanted to share some halibut bait with a nearby charter captain. We were anchored up, with six poles in the water, and a half mile away so we decided to share via the phantom.
I received some advice via Facebook. I calibrated the sticks using RC, with the phantom off. Then I turned on the phantom, plugged it in and calibrated the sticks and X1 using Assistant. I was hopeful it would work the first time. It did not. I did this three times. I gave up for the night...
I purchased a second P2V+ v3.0 yesterday. My first has 200+ flights and I am quite familiar with the unit's setup and operation.

Dozens of successful flights in the past few months but during the last few, my P2V+ has decided to start ascending rapidly (example: from 20 feet to 100+ feet in seconds) after I back off the throttle completely, when flying forward in GPS mode at more than 50% throttle. Luckily it ascends...
I posted the still from the video because in 30+ night flights, I had never seen such a thing, even at lower temps.
