    New Zealand

I purchased mine direct from the DJI and had no problems. The price must have included GST as well as there was no request from Customs/MAF for payment of any extra charges. Was still cheaper than any NZ sites I have seen but may be less difference now that the dollar has dived against the USD.

Quad Copter Light Kit Review (kind of)

Well, I ordered some of their red and green lights for my Vision+. I would love to be doing a review on the lights, however they never turned up and I had to go through Paypal to get a refund. I know a few of you have been successful getting lights from this outfit but I would be very wary...

Anyone using Multi Battery Parallel Charger Board Plate?

I bought my 3 battery charging plate on the (false) assumption it would charge 3 batteries at the same time. Not only did it not do that, it fully charged one battery and then only 75% charged the 2nd battery I had on the plate. I used the main charger to get it to 100%. Think I will chuck the...

    New Zealand

Hi guys, Here is a new site set up by Airways NZ. I like the part where they are getting ready to charge us for flying in controlled airspace. (Sarcasm in case you missed it). www.airshare.co.nz

International laws on distance from airports

New Zealand - must be at least 4km from any aerodrome unless permission granted by aerodrome operator (and clearance from ATC granted if applicable).

Notifying Airport / ATC of plans to fly

I'm just working through this process at the moment. I live in the control zone of an international airport in NZ and while I am more than 4km away from the airport, the control zone is from the surface to 1500 feet. Had a fairly positive chat to a controller today and he said I just need to...

I'm a dumb arse - but a very lucky dumb arse.

I used Wondershare Video Editor and used that to insert the "thought bubbles". Cheers.

I'm a dumb arse - but a very lucky dumb arse.

I've had probably half a dozen trips out now with my Vision+, all in Phantom mode. No problems at all. Thought I would flick it into NAZA mode and try it out. Went out to show a couple of mates, fairly strong wind but thought it would be ok. Put it in the air and it was going all over the...

Software to use on video editing

I've just started using Wondershare Video Editor on the Mac - seems to be fairly easy to use and it's pretty inexpensive. I hate iMovie so was looking for something else that didn't cost too much. I think I have seen other threads on this topic so do a search and see what pops up.

Best Backpack for Phantom 2 Vision Plus

+1 Have had mine for 2 weeks. Yes it is a lot of money for a backpack but apart from the foam cut outs for the Phantom, it has pockets and pouches EVERYWHERE and is very well made. (No, I'm not on commission :D ).
