Correct. Using this config, you must hold the switch. Its more a matter of preference : I prefer to have to hold the switch in case of emergency and avoid hitting it by error...
You can change it any way you want.
I don't have a 8FG so I could'nt say but it's probably VERY similar.
I did not configure gain on my setup.
BTW, here is the guide : viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3931
The latest version of the Phantom does not beep when turning it on. This is normal.
Same for the nuts, this is normal.
As for the low voltage battery alert, I have no clues but there is definitely a "beeper" in there. You can hear it if you do the calibration. See ...
I never tested the 2 antenna RX on the Phantom. Supposedly, it's a lot better than the stock one. If you have the R6208 on hand, just install it and you'll have peace of mind.
It is a very tight fit. I actually pinched wires 2 times. At one point my 8 pin ribbon cable for the Zenmuze got squeezed and fortunately it only shorted the video wires....
Here is Part 3 :
-Turn on your controller
-Plug the USB of the Phantom and power on the phantom
-Start NAZA Software assistant
1-Set the Elevator and Throttle channel to REVERSE. (you can also do that on the transmitter but I chose to do it here)
2-First order of business is calibration of...
Here is part #2.
1-You need to pair the remote with the receiver. Here's how :
a)Go to the Link menu (double tap on Link) and go to System
b)Hightlight Link and hit "RTN"
c)The TX will start beeping
d)Power on the Phantom
e)The id of the RX will be written over the Link button (P134301195 in...
There seems to be interest for this so I'll do a little write-up on how I configured my Futaba 14SG with the included RS7008 SB receiver.
ref : viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3890
This will be a 3 part post.
1.Physical installation of the receiver in the Phantom
2.Transmitter config.
3.NAZA Config...
I'm not sure but I suppose it will be similar to a 8FG.
Ok, seems there is interest. I'll probably start on the weekend. It will be multi-part... Installation of the receiver, change of mode, etc. Then after that, configuration of the NAZA Software... then the controller itself.
I flew my...
I just completed setting up my Futaba 14SG tx (with RS7008SB receiver) with my Phantom. I scavenged a few resources online but came out with a specific setup for the Phantom (Naza + H3-2D)
I could write a step by step guide if some people are interested. Basically what I have done :
-Basic...
I'm looking for the same info. From what I can gather, the vision is using 9x4.5 props (aka 9045). Apparently they're more efficient with more load. I bought a pair of 9045 CF props recently, I'll try them out as soon as I get them.
Ok, total flight time was about 7minutes from engine start (takeoff was 2sec after that) to low battery warning and landing. I know I was near the end of my battery by looking at the voltage on my FPV so I started a low altitude hover to land immediately on the warning to check the battery...
