Yes, that's normal. The screen will go black when the GoPro takes a picture. I was concerned the first time my screen blinked every 2 or 5 seconds until I realized it coincided with the GoPro taking the picture. If you switch to video mode on the GoPro, you won't see the screen go black at all.
I just got a kit from B&H that came with a Delvcam 7" FPV monitor with a built in 5.8ghz receiver (link: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1 ... eless.html) and I have two questions.
First, I can't seem to get rid of the black lines in the video feed. More of a letterboxing type effect...
Are you saying don't buy a kit cause it's more rewarding to build it myself? Typically I'd agree with you, but in this case I'm looking to get started quickly, but I want to know which will have better quality video.
I was planning on buying a kit from either B&H or DSLRPros that included the P2 with the new zenmuse gimbal, 7" FPV setup with iOSD. That setup is about $2000 without a gopro, which I already have. A P2V+ is quite a bit cheaper but doesn't have a 7" fpv setup and I can't connect FPV goggles to...
Thanks Skipholiday. My first post wasn't really about any specific version of the Phantom, but more about a possible way to prevent loosing so much money in the event of a crash, which I thought was appropriate for this particular thread. I'll head over to the P2 forum now...
Yeah, but I don't want to have to use my cell phone for FPV and I want to add goggles in the future. Plus, isn't the GoPro 3+ Black a much better camera? I'd definitly use the higher resolution for zooming/cropping and still get great quality at 1080.
I've been contemplating buying the "Toronto" P2 kit from DSLRPros for months now and haven't pulled the trigger due mostly to the issues you guys have experienced. I can't afford to buy a new one if mine decides to fly away or crash. I contacted my insurance company and asked if my policy...
Hasn't anyone seen this? The courts have ruled that the FAA can't declare commercial use of drones illegal. This was a pretty huge story on about March 7th this year stemming from the FAA fining someone for flying a drone over a campus full of students (pretty dumb) while on a hired shoot. The...
